Welcome to Chaserstore, where you will find for sale a selection of potential National Hunt winners!
We purchase our youngstock primarily as foals and yearlings in Ireland. They are individually selected for pedigree, conformation, movement, soundness and temperament. They are carefully broken as two year olds, ridden away and then turned away again to mature. At three years we bring them back into work and progress to more regular, structured exercise and education, when they also start to practice their natural skills by loose schooling over small fences. Our intention is to start the vital conditioning process of bones, joints and tendons at an age when they are most adaptable, without exerting undue stress. This structured approach, based on well-established scientific and practical principles results in a sounder animal, better prepared to cope with the physical and mental demands that will be placed on him when he goes into training.
We favour the true National Hunt jumping pedigree, and stallions who have proved their class, stamina and soundness on the racecourse. Our horses are raised in groups on a large acreage of varying terrain, in a natural environment on good pasture, in the beautiful countryside of North Yorkshire. This encourages the development of strength, balance, competitiveness and above all hardiness;
We treasure the national hunt horse for his qualities of strength, courage and endurance, and it is these attributes which we seek to
develop in the preparation of our young stock.
